Tuscan Tennis Holidays is based in Vicopelago in the region of Tuscany, on the outskirts of the beautiful walled city of Lucca. Vicopelago is both unspoilt and untouristy, perfect for those looking for tranquility, great food, local wines, etc. Florence is less than an hour's drive or train ride away, while Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra are a scenic 90 minutes' drive away. The Mediterranean coast is approximately a twenty-five minute drive.
Tennis Club Lucca - Il Circolo Tennis Lucca
The tennis centre is based in Vicopelago in the region of Tuscany, on the outskirts of the mediaeval, walled city of Lucca.
It is a private members only club to which Tuscan Tennis Holidays has secured exclusive access. Facilities include 7 floodlit clay courts, 1 artificial grass court, 2 swimming pools (open from the middle of June until the end of August - weather permitting), and a bar/restaurant.
Coaching Philosophy
Everyone is treated as an individual, with an effort to find solutions suited to their game style, age, aspirations and ability level.
We do not teach shots in exactly the same way to everyone. Just look at the best players in the world to see the variety of styles.
What is important to us is that you are playing in a manner which is mechanically efficient so as not to cause injuries, as an improvement in mechanics will ultimately benefit a player's game.
Tennis Programme
At Lucca we offer coaching programmes all year round no matter how small or large your group.
But for 6 weeks every summer we offer a unique TTH experience. These weeks are personally hosted by Ian Campbell, assisted by Laura and his regular team of local coaches. Ian and Laura are on hand both on and off the court to ensure you gain maximum enjoyment out of both Tuscany and your tennis.
