Syracuse, Sicily

One of TTH's chosen locations in Sicily is Syracuse, a beautiful historic city located within easy reach of wonderful beaches. Syracuse is well placed for visiting many of Sicily's famous towns and its most famous landmark, Mount Etna.

The Tennis Club

The tennis club is an ideal place to enjoy your tennis, have a swim, then relax in the beautiful gardens. The tennis club was founded in 1979 by Umberto Cortese and is now managed by his daughters Paola and Sabrina, with the help of head coach Nico di Simone. All are on hand to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The club consists of 6 clay courts, 3 synthetic grass, a small gym, a small and large swimming pool, and a clubhouse with a bar where it is possible to have light snacks.

Across the road from the tennis club is an archaelogical park, consiting of a Greek amphitheatre which may seat up to 1500 people, a Roman theatre, and the amazing rock formation "the ear of Dionysius". In May and June the amphitheatre plays host to Greek tragedies.
Within walking distance a visit is a must!
