Fishing

Small to big sea fishing is available from a yacht in the Straits of Gibraltar. Fly fishing available with prior booking.

Skiing

There are only a few locations in the world where guests can go skiing and swimming in the Ocean on the same day. Skiers will enjoy skiing opportunities in the Sierra Nevada, which is just 2 hours away from Marbella.

Marbella Club Thalasso Spa

The Marbella Club Thalasso Spa, situated in the Puente Romano's sister hotel Marbella Club, allows Hotel Puente Romano guests to use their facilities, which include: beauty treatments. Thalasso therapies, Aromatherapies, massages and Thalasso anti-stress treatments.

Watersports

With 27 kilometres of coastline and 24 different beaches to choose from Marbella has something for everyone. Whether you're into jet-ski-ing, sailing, star-spotting, balloon flights, cable ski-ing or simply enjoying some of the best fresh seafood in the world you'll find it all at Marbella's seafront and watersports centres.

Most of the beaches are well served with all the usual "essentials" like foot baths, lifeguards, children's play areas, sun loungers, sunshades and a variety of watersports - jet skis, pedaloes, wind surfers and banana rides.

You can hire a jet ski or water bike from many of the bars and safety standards are high - wearing a life jacket is obligatory and there are safe access lanes to avoid accidents with swimmers.

For the uninitiated, a great way to learn the basics of water ski-ing is at the Cable Ski centre based at Parque de las Medranas in San Pedro de Alcantara to the west of Marbella.

Waterpark, Mijas

You'll find more than 100 marine species, touch pools, a ray tank and a Mediterranean reef with anemones and starfish at the Sea Life Centre in Benalmadena. Walk through the glass tunnel and surround yourself with sharks, moray eels and barracuda.

Attractions also include "Atlantis, The Sunken City", which recreates the aura of mystery and magic surrounding the legend of the sunken city.

Funny Beach

Situated on the road from Marbella towards Fuengirola, just beyond the Marbella arch, Funny Beach offers a wide range of games and water sports to suit children of all ages. It is an ideal venue for families to enjoy a day out and have fun together. For those with an adventurous spirit there are go karts, bumper boats, electric bikes and crash cars. You can also hire a motorboat if you fancy a trip around the coast, which includes everything you will need, from sailing equipment to snacks. For those who are less active, there are indoor video games and pool tables. The beach where the amusement park is located also has three chiringuitos, the Spanish name for little beach restaurants that serve a variety of barbecued meat and seafood. Visitors should note that there is no entry fee for the whole park and that each attraction is paid for individually.
